Studying in a new country is difficult in ways that have nothing to do with your coursework. Our support services exist because that is normal, not exceptional.

Academic Support

One-on-one and small-group support for students finding a unit difficult. Language, literacy and numeracy support where the LLN assessment identifies a need. Study skills sessions covering academic writing, research and assessment preparation. Structured intervention if your course progress falls behind, triggered early rather than at the point of crisis.

Orientation Program

A compulsory orientation before your first class covering campus facilities, your timetable, our policies, assessment expectations, your rights and obligations under your student visa, work rights, local services, transport, safety, and where to go when something goes wrong. You also meet your trainers and your cohort — which matters more than most students expect.

Welfare & Wellbeing Support

Our student support team is your first point of contact for personal difficulties affecting your study — housing, finances, homesickness, family emergencies, health. We provide confidential support and referral to external professional services including counselling, medical care, legal services and community support organisations. Referrals to qualified external providers are made at no cost to you, though the external service may charge its own fees.

Accommodation Guidance

Advice on accommodation options in Kogarah, Rockdale, Hurstville and surrounding suburbs — shared rentals, homestay, purpose-built student accommodation and private rental. Guidance on tenancy rights, bonds, rental scams and what to inspect before you sign. We provide information and referral rather than acting as an agent.

Career & Industry Support

Résumé and cover letter preparation for the Australian hospitality market. Interview preparation. Industry contacts through our trainers and work-based training partners. Advice on further study pathways.

Complaints & Appeals

You have the right to raise a complaint or appeal an assessment or enrolment decision at no cost, through a process that is documented, timely and independent of the person whose decision you are challenging. If you are not satisfied with the internal outcome, you have the right to external review. Full details are in the Student Handbook.
